Louise Crisp
Owner, Director, & Pre-K 4 Teacher

Kieron Crisp
Assistant Director & Pre-K 4 Teacher
Lulu’s passion for early childhood education was sparked in her own childhood, helping her mother run an in-home childcare program in England. After earning a degree in early childhood education with a specialization in learning disabilities, she began her teaching career in the UK and continued it after moving to the U.S. in 2001. Blending European educational values with hands-on learning and play-based discovery, she founded The Child’s Garden in 2011 with the vision of creating a nurturing, high-quality preschool experience rooted in joy, discovery, and connection.
For Lulu, the magic of this work is in the everyday moments — when a child lights up after learning something new, or when a graduate returns years later just to say hello. These heartwarming glimpses of growth and lasting connection are what make her role so rewarding.
In the classroom, Lulu brings her British roots to life through playful traditions like Mr. Alligator — a favorite game passed down from her own childhood (known lovingly by her students as the “Go Gator” game!). Whether leading a lesson or guiding the entire school, Lulu’s love for children and commitment to their well-being is at the heart of everything she does.
Kieron serves as Assistant Director at The Child’s Garden, working alongside his mom, Lulu. Growing up around early childhood education and watching his mother’s dedication to this work deeply shaped his path. What began as a family connection has grown into a true passion for supporting young learners and helping guide them through some of their most formative years.
One of Kieron’s favorite parts of teaching is witnessing the incredible growth that happens in the classroom — watching wide-eyed four-year-olds blossom into confident, curious Kindergarteners. It’s the kind of change that can be hard to fully appreciate in real time, but becomes deeply meaningful when you reflect on it. His greatest hope is that each child leaves The Child’s Garden with a strong sense of confidence — whether that’s through speaking up, trying something new, or simply trusting their own voice.
And while every season in the classroom brings something special, Kieron especially loves the magic of the holidays. From pumpkins to snowflakes, children’s enthusiasm and wonder makes the fall and winter months feel unforgettable — and he wouldn’t trade that kind of joy for anything.
🐝 Infant Teachers 🐝

Mrs. “J” Janaja
Lovingly known as “Mrs. J” by her babies, Janaja has been part of The Child’s Garden for over five years. She’s a mom to a spirited 7-year-old boy, a foster mom, and a doula — roles that reflect her deep love for nurturing children and families. Her inspiration to work in early childhood began with her great aunt’s daycare, where she spent time as both a child and volunteer, dreaming of one day creating that same sense of home. Janaja’s favorite part of working with infants is seeing their firsts and watching their little personalities begin to shine. Her top priority is making sure every baby feels safe, loved, and cared for like her own. A favorite tradition in the Baby Bees room is their themed classroom photos — complete with handmade backdrops and a mini photoshoot to capture the joy and sweetness of each little moment.

Ms. Sara
With over a decade of experience in childcare, Sara’s journey began as a stay-at-home mom to her two children — now a preteen and teenager, entering middle and high school. Motherhood taught her what it means to be needed, trusted, and deeply loved, and ultimately led her to discover her passion for working with young children. Sara finds joy in watching little ones grow — from first bites to first steps — and treasures the sweet moments when a child reaches for her or says her name for the first time. She takes pride in creating a space where both babies and their families feel safe and supported. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her kids and caring for animals — embracing a life rooted in love, guidance, and connection.

Ms. Leah
Leah discovered her love for early childhood education while volunteering at a local daycare in high school. She still remembers a little girl proudly handing over a painting — a simple moment that opened her eyes to just how much creativity and self-expression lives inside young children. Since then, Leah has been passionate about giving kids a space where they feel free to explore and be themselves. She especially loves those “lightbulb” moments — when something clicks and a child’s whole face lights up with excitement. Leah’s goal is to help every child feel valued, heard, and confident in who they are. She also loves adding personal touches to classroom fun, like planning themed activities for special days!

Teacher Maxx
Maxx grew up surrounded by warmth — from family, teachers, and mentors — and carries that sense of security into the classroom each day. They hope every child feels supported and safe, not just now, but even as they grow and change. Maxx finds joy in watching those small daily transformations, knowing each moment adds up to something big. They love sparking creativity with unique sensory and art experiences — whether it’s painting with sponge shapes, zooming markers across paper with toy cars, or turning everyday objects into something magical. Maxx’s classroom is a place where curiosity thrives, and kids know they always have someone in their corner.
🐞 One Year Old Teachers 🐞

Mrs. “T” Tiaunna
Tiaunna’s path to early childhood education began in her mother’s preschool, where she loved helping out after school and during summer breaks. Though she later earned a degree in graphic design, a change in direction eventually brought her back to the classroom — and she’s been part of The Child’s Garden family ever since. Now teaching in the one-year-old room, her days are filled with tiny voices, endless hugs, and little ones curled up in her lap asking for a story. She finds so much joy in the daily rhythm of the classroom, especially as she prepares to welcome a little one of her own soon! Her favorite moments are when her class bursts into song together — even when the lyrics are completely mixed up. It’s funny, heartwarming, and never fails to make her smile.
🌱 Two Year Old Teachers 🌱

Ms. Caitlin
Caitlin’s love for teaching began with her grandmother, a first and second grade teacher at the school Caitlin attended. During summer breaks, she would spend her days in her grandmother’s classroom, watching her create fun, meaningful learning experiences. One day, after helping a student through a challenge, the little girl said, “I want to be a teacher just like you.” That moment stuck with Caitlin — and she’s been on the path to teaching ever since. She especially loves watching her students light up with pride when their artwork comes to life. Caitlin hopes every child in her care feels loved, appreciated, and seen for exactly who they are. She treats each student like one of her own and believes deeply in building strong connections. A personal touch she brings to the classroom is introducing childhood games like “Doggy Doggy, Where’s Your Bone?” and “Red Rover.” Watching her students laugh and play just like she did at their age adds extra joy to her days.

Mrs. Ashanti
Ashanti discovered her passion for early childhood education after a heart-to-heart with her college advisor helped her realize that nursing wasn’t the right path—but teaching children absolutely was. Since then, she’s been working full time with young children while pursuing her degree, and she couldn’t be more fulfilled. Ashanti cherishes the pure joy of being greeted at the door with hugs and excitement, and strives to make every child feel seen, heard, and deeply appreciated. One of her favorite moments is sharing songs from her own childhood—like Ring Around the Rosy—that spark connection, laughter, and endless re-reads at story time.
🐛 Three Year Old Teachers 🐛

Ms. Kaleigh
I began working in early childhood education because the early years are such a meaningful and formative time in a child’s life. I love supporting children as they learn to communicate, explore their world, and build confidence each day. Watching them grow through mastering a new skill, using their words, or solving a problem independently is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to create a space where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn, and where they leave feeling loved, valued, and proud of who they are. My love for reading, spending time outdoors, and building meaningful relationships carries into the classroom as I encourage curiosity, connection, and a joy for learning.
🦋 Float Teachers 🦋

Ms. Elena
Elena’s earliest memories are filled with joy and curiosity — many of them from her own preschool days right here at The Child’s Garden. Now, as part of the team, she loves building connections with the children and watching them grow into a close-knit classroom community. Seeing kids cheer each other on, celebrate successes, and feel safe enough to ask for help is what makes the work so rewarding. Currently studying toward a future career in pediatric clinical psychology, Elena brings warmth and encouragement to every interaction. She hopes each child leaves her care feeling confident, capable, and excited to try new things. One of her favorite moments is when the class dives into music time — especially when someone says they want to learn an instrument too!
🌻 Administrators 🌻

Ms. Alyssa
Alyssa may have grown up as an only child, but she quickly turned her neighborhood into a big extended family — babysitting or nannying anyone she could and forming lasting bonds that sparked her lifelong passion for working with children of all ages and abilities. Whether supporting a patient in the hospital or teaching in a preschool overseas, Alyssa brings deep love and intention to every interaction. She began her journey at The Child’s Garden as a beloved two-year-old teacher, and now continues to nurture the heart of the school in her role as an administrator. She delights in the way children absorb the world like little sponges, full of joy, curiosity, and boundless potential. Her classroom was always a place where kids felt safe to be themselves, confident in their abilities, and deeply loved — and she brings that same spirit to everything she touches behind the scenes. Most at home in the outdoors, Alyssa treasures the magic of seeing a child’s eyes light up when they discover a new plant or spot a tiny creature — sharing in the fearless wonder of a world still fresh and full of possibility.
