Energetic little one year olds need plenty of floor space to roll, crawl and walk.
This class has a ratio of 1-5 and continues to work on children’s verbal and non verbal skills with an emphasis on one to one communication and sign language to promote early language recognition. Large and small motor development is strengthened through songs, movement, dance, puppets and ball games. To encourage fine motor skills, children are introduced to play-dough, large crayons, large brush painting and finger painting to promote strong pincer grip. In this age group children start to learn new skills such as hand washing, throwing used items in the trash, cleaning up toys, and listening skills as well as an introduction to potty training when the child shows interest. Our little ones flourish in this happy, inviting environment with loving, caring and very energetic teachers.
